Does SAINT® scan more than just the operating system?

Yes... in addition to checking most operating systems (including Windows, Linux and Unix systems) SAINT also checks for vulnerabilities in firewalls, network devices, databases, Web servers, other applications, and additional components with a TCP/IP protocol.

What type of reports does SAINT® produce?

SAINT provides a variety of vulnerability assessment reports that supply you with a wealth of information on both the vulnerability and the system. The trend analysis report will track your progress in the vulnerability repair process. You can view sample SAINT reports below:

How do I get started scanning my network with SAINT?

Start scanning to find out how vulnerable your network is in a few simple steps:

  1. Enter your registration number above and fill out the form on the next page. A customer login and password will be sent to you by e-mail.
  2. Log into http://www.saintcorporation.com and generate a key for your 10 IP addresses. Specify the IP address (or range of IP Addresses) to be scanned (It's ok if you don't know them as SAINT has a discovery tool to help you out here).
  3. Download and install the SAINT software. A Step-by-step Guide to Running a Default Vulnerability Scan will help you get started. SAINT's Getting Started Guide provides further detailed information.
  4. Using SAINT's friendly browser based GUI, select the type of policy with the pre-selected vulnerability checks you want to perform and then click the "Scan Now" button.
  5. Once the scan is completed, select the reports you would like to view.
