Sam Kline joined SAINT Corporation in 1999 as the chief development engineer, providing the security expertise and software development talent to drive the transformation of SAINT from an open-source tool into a fully featured commercial scanning suite. He became CTO in 2009, and is currently responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. He provides engineering and architecture oversight for the SAINT® suite of tools; and design and deployment of new vulnerability assessment and penetration testing capabilities in SAINT products. Prior to his arrival at SAINT, Sam was a key force behind the proactive defense of the Pentagon’s information systems in his role of supervisor of network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Sam has a B.S., magna cum laude in Electrical and Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.S. in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech. He is a recognized expert in the information security industry, having spoken at a variety of conferences and universities.
